Powerfill®

Utilized in all treatments pertaining to the face and body, particularly those that require an increase in volume and correction of contour changes.

PowerFill works the same way as other fillers: the drug is injected into the layer of fat under the skin. However, Polylactic acid irritates and activates fibroblasts, which begins the process of neocollagenesis. Collagen makes a dense skeleton, which pulls the area of impact and increases the volume. Fillers made from polylactic acid are also used to make up for lost soft tissue and can be used instead of implants.

This is a general outline of how to utilize Powerfill:

• Check out the patient's skin condition and choose the right areas to treat.
• Clean and germ-free the treatment area.
• Inject the Powerfill product into the right layer of skin with a fine needle or cannula. How deep the injection goes will depend on the Powerfill product being used and the effect that is wanted.
• Gently rub the treated area to make sure the product is spread out evenly.
• Keep an eye on the patient to see if they have any bad reactions after treatment.

• The presence of cuts, wounds, burns, or multiple skin growths in the area where the injection is planned
